Music Director
Kim Webb
Kim’s role in the Chorus is to search the barbershop world for new music for Pennine Chimes and with her extensive judging and coaching experience, to have input on technique during rehearsals. Kim joined LABBS in 1978 when she began singing with the White Rosettes, where she won 2 Chorus Gold Medals. She joined Pennine Chimes in 1986 and a Quartet Gold Medal came with 42nd Street (1987) and a Quartet Bronze Medal with ‘Live Coverage’ (1994) to follow.
After several training courses, Kim has served LABBS as a Sound Judge, Singing Category Judge and Singing Category Director. She is committed to furthering the education programme within LABBS and fulfils the role of Education Co-ordinator for the Fellowship of Directors. Kim travels extensively, coaching both ladies and men’s choruses and quartets, so we appreciate her skills and her input. She has served Pennine Chimes as Musical Director but also as Chorus Director and Coach and can sing virtually any part of any song!
